The Fein Optic FZ8 stereo zoom microscope has a built-in objective zoom range of 0.65x – 5.2x. A variety of eyepieces and auxiliary lenses are available to take magnification as low as 3.2x and as high as 208x. The FZ8-BBRB ball bearing boom stand provides ample room for working under the microscope or for larger objects. The ball bearing stand slides easily out of the way. This microscope does not have built-in illumination, but can be used with a variety of lights including LED ring lights, dual pipe lights and high intensity LED lights. The stand has a low-profile base that makes working under the microscope comfortable. Digital cameras can be added to the trinocular port for documentation purposes or a high definition tablet can be added to view images in real time directly on the microscope.
